Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is JumpSwap?

A: JumpSwap is an online application that allows college clubs and organizations to communicate. It has a number of features specialized for college clubs and organizations including the ability to manage users, send messages, share files, administer events, and control finances. It simplifies the lives of members and presidents of college groups.

Q: Who is JumpSwap For? Can I Use JumpSwap?

A: JumpSwap is for college groups. All college groups can join (sororities, fraternities, clubs, student governments, etc...) The only catch is that you use your college assigned email address to signup.

Q: How Much Does JumpSwap Cost?

A: JumpSwap is a free tool for college students.

Q: We use something else to control our members. Why should we switch?

A: Many college clubs and organizations are using tools like Facebook or MySpace to try and control their members. Unfortunately these tools just weren't built with your clubs and organizations' needs in mind. JumpSwap is a management tool, not a social tool. In a social setting, communications can get lost in all the drama. On JumpSwap group leaders are in control. You won't find our specialized tools on other networks. JumpSwap helps your organization be productive and everything is completely private.

...and it's free.

Q: Why The Name JumpSwap?

A: The first version was strictly for file sharing. We combined JumpDrive with Swap and came up with JumpSwap. Since then, we've developed many more tools for college clubs and organizations of all types are now enjoying the benefits of JumpSwap -- the name just stuck.

Q: What's up with calling us Clubs/Organizations and Groups? Which one is it?

A: We refer to clubs and organizations as "groups" when appropriate. For the sake of simplicity we refer to clubs and organizations as "Groups" once you are logged into the JumpSwap platform.
